Hank Coxe is returning to coach the 2022 – 2023 Devils Youth 18 AAA team after winning both the AYHL regular season and league playoffs at the 18AAA Elite level this past season. He started with the organization nearly twenty years ago when his two sons played with us, and he remained a member of the staff when their youth hockey careers were over.
As our most experienced coach, Hank’s involvement with the sport spans several decades. He grew up playing in the Philadelphia area, where his teams advanced to USA Hockey Nationals three straight years and he was the tournament’s leading scorer as a Midget. Hank played at New England College (NCAA D2) before spending two years playing in the Continental Hockey League where he was named an all-star player.
Hank is a high-energy, passionate coach and an expert motivator and his highest priority is building relationships with each of his players. He is a demanding coach who is always the first one to arrive at the rink and the last one to leave, and he holds his players to the same high standard of commitment and effort.
