Frequently Asked Questions
The theme options are provided as a starting point for your website. We chose a few commonly used elements to get you started.
Once the initial set-up is complete, your account representative will walk you through the website and provide an overview for creating additional site content. Each website also includes tutorial materials which are a great place to begin learning about adding and removing content.
At the Platinum and Enterprise levels there are opportunities for custom design. If you are interested in learning more about a custom website design, please speak to your SportsEngine Account Manager.
At the Standard theme level we are unable to customize the design and features of the websites prior to launch. Once your template site is up and running, you will be able to use the platform tools to customize your website to fit your needs.
A design mock-up add-on can also be purchased as an additional service to the Standard level theme package.
Our designers have pre-selected a variety of fonts chosen for their legibility at multiple sizes and weights, and across many different platforms. There are currently twelve font choices available for organizations to choose from. We are unable to substitute custom fonts on the websites.
After you have submitted your theme choice and your site has launched, the theme can be changed with a site rebuild purchase.
Once the build is complete, and the site is handed off to your organization, your organizations site administrators can add and remove content to best fit your needs.
We only use a primary and secondary color to assist with branding globally across the site. Using a primary and secondary color helps maintain brand consistency without becoming overly complex or busy. There will be opportunities for the site admin to introduce additional colors when building out the content of the website.
Additional migration support can be purchased for organizations with large websites or limited in-house support. Ask your Account Manager about content migration options. Content migration is not included in a standard template package.
Images are accepted in .jpg, .jpeg, and .png formats. .heic and .gif files will not be accepted.
Video files are accepted in .mp4, .wmv, and .m4a file formats.
ALL files must be under 2GB.
Please note that when a large amount of files that are just barely under 2GB are used, the live site may experience lag when loading across all devices.
Once a website is live, admins can reach support at websites@sportsengine.com where we have a whole team ready to help with technical questions! There are also video tutorials and resource materials to guide admins through common build techniques and issues.
